Scraplift Idea

I talk to a lot of people about looking at ideas everywhere and using them to inspire you to make something different. You don't have to have the EXACT paper and pictures to make basically the same layout.
So I wanted to show you this with an idea that I loved in a idea book.

And here is the page that I made:

Notice the similarities in the arrangement of the paper, the wording stretching vertically and the circle around the pictures. The differences are in the added embellishments in the corners and the circle is hand drawn on my layout. I also only used one larger photo of Garrett rather than three smaller ones.
I love looking at idea books, and using the things I see to inspire me. Try it sometime, you don't have to make the EXACT page, just let it help lead you to a layout that works for you!

Finally some more ideas!

Me and computers are not the best of friends. Almost a month ago now, my computer crashed and I have just today been able to get the scanner part of my all-in-one printer to work again. It has been one slow process getting my computer back to my usual working order. Anyways. I have been in a scrapbooking groove lately and I am loving it. So I though I would post some pages I have been making. Here are some of my favorites!

These pictures of Tilden show perfectly how he was at the pumpkin patch. He was on a mission and had to put EVERY pumpkin in the wheel barrel. Along the bottom of the page I placed a progression of pictures showing him slowly picking up one pumpkin. The big picture is the last one once he got it in his hands good and solid. I added a lot of embellishments, but also have 8 pictures on the page too. I love this layout!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Tilden right now. He was really sick when I took the picture, and of course needed his binki to keep him happy. This paper is from Cosmo Cricket, I have had it laying around forever. It was an 8x8 pad of paper, so I just made a collage of paper to create the square. It was really simple. Plus using the lined patterned paper on the side was a perfect way to add journaling.

These are the pictures of me and Ian in La Conner. I wasted no time scrapbooking them, I loved the paper this summer that I picked up. It is the Cosmo Cricket Summertime line. My favorite part is the bold fun colors of it.

Last week I taught a scrapbooking class that was focusing on more journaling and the importance of telling the story. Not just thinking that the picture will tell your story for you. It got me really excited about doing this more. That is what we are trying to preserve anyways right! So keep that in mind the next time you scrapbook. Is there something that needs to be said about the pictures? Hope you like the ideas I have today. I will try to get in the habit of doing this more often.

Reminisce Design Team Call Part 4

Spring Break Mini Album

Reminisce Design Team Call Part 4 Continued

I love this Mini Album. It went together so nicely. It helped that when I saw these papers I had to buy the whole collection, rub-ons, cardstock stickers, shimmer paper, all of it. I still have tons left over so I can make matching scrapbook pages for our family album also.

Reminisce Design Team Call Part 3

I love this paper! It's double sided, so with cutting it and mounting it on a white background you can really get your money's worth. Reminisce has it in every grade, through High School! It made scrapbooking Garrett and Aspen's First day of school photos super easy. Within minutes I was able to create 2 great layouts for our family album.

Reminisce Design Team Call Part 2

Since the Navy has moved us to the Seattle Area in August of 2006 we have found many favorite things that we all enjoy doing. This book is a good way for us to remember some of those. I also saved room on the lines to continue to add to our favorites!

This album was a VERY simple design. Using the black chipboard album, barely required the use of any other paper. Just some simple journaling and a bunch of great theme stickers!

Reminisce Design Team Call

These pages (and card) I created over the weekend, I like the simplicity of the layout. I have noticed lately I love to add my own doodling to the pages too.
